There is always something a mom can brag about... the first laugh, the first words, the first crawl, the first steps and so on. This is truly something most people can't believe until they see it. Spending time in NM this summer Kajsia learned to swim. I'm not just talking about putting her head in the water and blowing bubbles. I'm not talking about holding her up on her belly and telling her to kick her legs. I'm telling you, she is fully submerged in the water and as Tage and I push her thru the water like a torpedo she kicks her legs, her eyes are wide open and when she comes up she spits all the water out. This was a daily ritual this summer in NM and she mastered the art well. Sometimes she tries to take off on her own. We did it recently while visiting CT in the public pool and a few people thought we were trying to drown her! The gasps, the horror... What kind of parents are we? Only to start clapping once she came and spit the water out! Sans COUGHING ! Their grandma explained, not even her 2-4 year olds would put their heads in the water. Kajsia also loves to sit on the stairs or on the side of the pool and jump in too.
