Yes, the Stake Youth Block Party Fundraiser was a huge success! After much planning and preparation the pampering began at 10am. Shaniqua, Liana and Shannon were the head technicians of the Harlem Nail Spa and surprised me with their hard work ethics (only a 10 minute break for lunch and an afternoon snack!). They painted young and old. Over 50 manicures later they still had smiles and even suggested that it would be something they'd do every weekend to earn $$.

We had the most profitable booth on the block, as told by one of the leaders in the stake!

Holla... Harlem YW REPRESENTED!!!

6 month Check Up

It was really 7 months because we were in NM for most of April welcoming cousins into the world! Anyway, she loved sitting on the scale and was enamored with Dr. Hoffman's steth... she weighs 20lbs (90%), 28.5 inches (97%) and is, "The happiest baby on the Upper West Side!" Until she got her shots. Her blood curdling scream tore my heart out, but at least they gave her neon band-aids that she loved to touch. No spongebob square pants at our house!

The armory and the AR-15

Tage has been dreaming for months now of buying a Stag Arms AR 15. I could tell you all about it because I have heard the pro's, the con's, the spec's and the hype EVERY night for at least 7 months. He's read every hunting magazine from Gun's and Amo, Hunting, Outdoors Life, Deer Hunting Magazine and a myriad of online reviews too. He finally got what he was wishing for and I think holding the barrel in his hands is as close to the happiest day of his life as he could have dreamed. I think it's a little dub's T (along with Corvette's, I-ROC Camero's and mullets), but whatever makes the hubby happy. I mean, who can't see this smile from ear to ear as this is his equivalent of Disneyland. He is the Happiest Man on Earth.

P.S. It will only be used to hunt wild game (in the forest, not on the streets of Harlem) in season of course and fight off any Swine Flu insurgents!
