Yellowstone

For a quick trip to Idaho to see my grandpa and a jaunt to West Yellowstone. Tage was in high testosterone hunting gear as soon as we paid our National Park fee. Within a 10 mile drive to Old Faithful we saw deer, elk, buffalo, coyote, bald eagle and vultures. His trigger finger was quivering, but alas the hot pots simmered him down. Here are a few shots of Kajsia and cousin Andi awaiting Old Faithful's arrival.
Old is still stunning after all these years. It's incredible to think that something in nature is so predictable and steady (as nothing else really is). It got me thinking on the ride home, what will I be called after all these years?
This was also the weekend Kajsia decided to take to the floor and crawl at the cabin. Besides the long commute, we had a blast!

  1. I think just reading this post calmed me down. Is the west really that much more relaxing, or is this just growing up? (My memories of Yellowstone are walks and hikes and "bored" at the campsite when I was 12 - and it all sounds so nice right now.)

Glad you guys are having a great trip! Harlem misses you!
